Your privacy matters. Mishkat is built to work for you, not to harvest your data. In plain terms:
No account No tracking No ads No analytics No data sold
Mishkat does not collect, store, or share any personal information with the developer. The app has no user accounts and no developer-operated backend.
With your permission, Mishkat uses your device's location to:
You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; you can still enter a city manually to get prayer times.
Prayer reminders are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device. No push servers and no personal data are involved.
If you are signed into iCloud, your own settings, bookmarks and progress may sync across your devices using Apple's iCloud (key‑value storage). This data stays within your private iCloud account; the developer has no access to it. You can disable it in iOS Settings → iCloud.
The optional one‑time premium unlock and tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. Mishkat never sees your payment details. Purchase validation is handled on‑device via Apple's StoreKit.
To deliver certain features, the app may request data from these services. Requests contain only what is needed for the feature (e.g. a map region or a Quran verse reference) and never personal identifiers:
Bundled content is used under its own licence: the Quran text is the Tanzil Uthmani text, used unmodified under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0; the adhan audio is Creative Commons; and the Amiri Quran typeface is under the SIL Open Font License. Every source is listed in full under Settings → Credits inside the app.
Mishkat is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
